18 September 2026
With exhibitors, delegations, and decision-makers from every continent, InnoTrans 2026 turns the fairground into a global platform for innovation, exchange, and international collaboration. The OpenRail Association is proud to be part of it, contributing to one of the key conversations shaping the sector: the role of Open Source in the digital transformation of rail. One highlight we are particularly proud of: OSRD will celebrate its premiere as a world innovation at InnoTrans 2026. Throughout the four days, we offer a diverse program of talks, presentations, and networking opportunities. Explore our program here: InnoTrans 2026 Programme (PDF).
A highlight of our program is a roundtable with leading industry speakers: On Wednesday, 23 September 2026 at 16:00, Jochen Decker (SBB CFF FFS), Loïc Hamelin (SNCF), and Frédéric Novello (EONA-X) will discuss at the Mobility+ Corner in Hall 7.1C, moderated by Max Mehl (DB Systel), under the title “Driving Innovation and Collaboration with Open Source.” They will share insights into the founding story of the OpenRail Association, talk about OSRD as a concrete example, and discuss barriers and misconceptions around Open Source, as well as the outlook for OpenRail and Open Source.
